Why microdose cannabis?
There is more than one approach to using medical cannabis. The old way is waiting until the pain or other symptoms start, then using medical cannabis to treat the problem. At that point, we need more cannabis to relieve the pain. When my migraines started, I called that the point of no return. If I couldn’t do something early enough in the migraine, I could be suffering for one to three days. The worse the pain, the more pain relief we need.
My process for using medical cannabis now is viewing it more like a vitamin. This is something I take every day to stay healthy. Vitamins and minerals help balance what we don’t get in our daily diet. Microdosing cannabis helps us to relieve pain, calm our muscles and relive anxiety. Microdising cannabis helps us to find our optimal dose. Per Dr. Dustin Sulak of Healer.com, the starting dose should be 1mg-2mg of THC. This small amount should give an effect to the body, while avoiding heavy psychoactive effects.
How do you microdose cannabis?
To effectively microdose cannabis, tinctures are the best way to know how much you are taking. Microdosing by smoking or vaping can be accomplished by taking one puff, then waiting 10 minutes. If you feel a slight change, wait an hour before taking more. If you don’t feel anything, one more pull should be enough.
A better way to microdose is with a method that exact amounts can be taken. The best way to do this is with a tincture. With a tincture, you can take a drop or two sublingually, then wait 15 minutes to an hour to feel the results. If you are still looking for the optimal dose, take one more drop at a time, but not more.
Is it expensive to microdose cannabis?
No. When we wait for symptoms to start, then use medical cannabis to get rid of the symptoms, more cannabis is needed. We always need more medicine to alleviate symptoms as they worsen. Most importantly, microdosing cannabis helps to keep the symptoms at bay.
The best result should be a healthy, active person..
